Though the source of Tsarap River is situatednear the Pankpo La Pass (at the border of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh), it flows down to the Zanskar region to add a charm to the beauty of the valley.

During winters when the entire region is wrapped in the white canvas of snow, the Tsarap River freezes and forms a passage for the inhabitants to commute. At the same time it forms the finest and the most challenging trails for the adventure junkies to trek on. Further, this adventurous Chadar Trek is also the traditional trade route for the locals of the Zanskar Valley.

Even the mere thought of trekking on the frozen river will give you goose bumps, imagine the level of excitement when you will be experiencing it in real.
