FREQUENTLY ASKED

FAQ — Pink City Royal Tour

What is the best time to visit Jaipur?
The best time to visit Jaipur is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing. Winter temperatures range from 8°C to 22°C, making it perfect for exploring forts and palaces. Avoid visiting during peak summer (April–June) when temperatures can exceed 45°C. The monsoon season (July–September) brings occasional rain but fewer crowds and lush green surroundings.
How do I reach Jaipur from the UK?
Jaipur has an international airport (Jaipur International Airport — JAI) with direct connections from Delhi. From the UK, you can fly to Delhi (direct flights from London Heathrow — approx. 8.5 hours) and then take a connecting flight to Jaipur (1 hour) or drive via the Jaipur-Delhi Expressway (approx. 4.5 hours). We can arrange all transfers and domestic flights for you.
Can this tour be combined with the Golden Triangle?
Absolutely! The Pink City Royal Tour can be perfectly combined with our Classic Golden Triangle Tour (Delhi → Agra → Jaipur). You can extend your stay in Jaipur to include the full Pink City experience. We also offer extensions to Udaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar and other Rajasthan destinations. Contact us for a customised itinerary.
Is the elephant ride at Amber Fort ethical?
We understand concerns about animal welfare. The elephant rides at Amber Fort are regulated by the government, and the elephants are regularly inspected. However, we also offer jeep rides as an alternative, which are equally scenic and take you up the same route to the fort. We leave the choice entirely to our guests and are happy to arrange either option.
What should I wear when visiting temples and palaces?
We recommend modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees when visiting temples and religious sites. Comfortable walking shoes are essential as you'll be exploring forts with uneven surfaces. A hat/cap, sunscreen, and sunglasses are recommended. For the cultural evening, smart casual attire is appropriate. Carry a light scarf/shawl which can be used to cover your head at temples.
What is the cancellation policy?
We offer flexible cancellation: Full refund if cancelled 30+ days before departure. 50% refund if cancelled 15-29 days before. No refund for cancellations within 14 days of departure. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added protection.
Are there any shopping opportunities on this tour?
Jaipur is a shopper's paradise! The tour includes visits to Johari Bazaar (famous for Kundan & Meenakari jewellery), Bapu Bazaar (textiles, mojari shoes, lac bangles), and opportunities to buy blue pottery, gemstones, block-printed fabrics, miniature paintings, and traditional Rajasthani handicrafts. Our guide can also take you to trusted local artisan workshops.
Is this tour suitable for elderly travellers?
Yes, we can customise the itinerary for elderly travellers. Some forts involve climbing steps, but we provide jeep rides at Amber Fort and can adjust the pace of the tour. Our vehicles are comfortable and air-conditioned, and we ensure regular breaks. We can also arrange wheelchair-accessible options where available. Please inform us of any special requirements when booking.
